Project Title & Context:
As a part of my New Media Production and Design program, I completed a project for a non profit organization named PLAY. PLAY is a licensed, non-profit daycare located in the Kensington area of Calgary. The purpose of this project was to update the website of PLAY Daycare, to provide a more modern and user-friendly experience. The team aimed to optimize the site for faster loading, also enhancing its visual appeal through new photography and improved content. Additionally, the project included creating a documentary featuring interviews with staff, volunteers, and parents, as well as developing templates for social media posts to help the organization communicate more effectively.
My Roles:
I was responsible for designing the interface, editing the video content, and ensuring seamless integration of all media components.
Skill Applied:
Through this project, I enhanced my skills in Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and HTML/CSS coding.
Challenges and Problem:
One challenge was creating an intuitive navigation system for users, which I addressed by conducting user testing and refining the design based on feedback.
Outcome and Reflection:
The project received positive feedback from both peers and instructors, and it helped me refine my approach to interactive design.
