Motion Graphic Project – Head Turn & Walk Cycle Exercise

Motion Graphic Exercise – Head Turn Practice

The New Media Production and Design program equips students with essential skills to create impactful media content. As a graduate, I’m impressed by how the program offers practical knowledge tailored to today’s market. I received comprehensive training in graphic design, video production, and web development, which prepared me for the fast-changing digital world where smartphones and online connections dominate.

Beyond these core skills, the program introduced me to animation. I learned principles of animation and mastered industry-standard tools like Adobe After Effects, Adobe Animate, and Blender. One of my favorite projects was a head turn animation, where I focused on character movement and facial expressions. Through careful timing and keyframing, I brought the character to life, adding personality and depth.

Another memorable project was the walk cycle animation, which helped me understand weight distribution, timing, and rhythm in human movement. By refining each step, I achieved a realistic and fluid walk cycle for my animated characters.

This journey taught me the power of storytelling through motion. Whether creating motion graphics for campaigns or animated sequences for multimedia projects, my skills in animation allow me to engage audiences and convey complex ideas creatively.
